Firsthand reviewThe opening combined citrus with a pronounced essential-oil character, alongside lavender, woods and a sweet powdery animalic quality that brought Chanel No. 22 to mind. I also suspected aldehydes, strong florals and a civet impression, while a clean-laundry quality ran through the middle.
The overall effect was complex and somehow put me in mind of Penhaligon’s Sartorial. I found it okay to nice, but surprisingly feminine for something marketed to men. The drydown took on a clear incense character.
