How this site is published.
The Aroma Book is an independent sensory publication and review project. It is not affiliated with the brands discussed unless a relationship is explicitly stated.
Reviews and opinions
Reviews describe personal sensory impressions from direct use or testing. Subjective statements are opinions, not claims that everyone will perceive a product in the same way. Factual claims are reviewed before publication and should be sourced where appropriate.
From notes to reviews
Each published product page separates two editorial layers. About the fragrance / About the incense is a neutral, paraphrased overview grounded in manufacturer material where available. Our Review is an edited version of our firsthand testing notes. Editing may improve grammar, structure and clarity, but it must not invent sensory impressions, remove meaningful uncertainty, or turn subjective material impressions into formula claims.
The original working notes remain preserved separately as private provenance and are never used as the public review body.

Some retailer links may be affiliate advertising links. Every affiliate link is labelled Ad · Affiliate before you click it. If you buy through one, this site may receive a commission at no extra cost to you.
Retailer relationships, commissions, prices and product availability do not determine what is reviewed, how a review is written, how favourites are ranked, or what the taste quiz recommends. Prices shown on the site are point-in-time references and include the date they were checked; the retailer remains the source of truth for the current price and availability.
Copyright and images
Original notes and cleared imagery are preferred. Third-party descriptions, photographs, forum posts and other copyrighted material are not republished as site content unless there is an appropriate licence, permission, or a reviewed legal basis for a limited quotation. Some review pages use generated editorial still lifes to interpret the sensory notes; these are identified as generated imagery and are not official product photographs. Product and company names remain the property of their respective owners.
Privacy
The site currently has no user accounts, comments, contact forms or behavioural analytics, and does not intentionally set non-essential cookies. If that changes, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated before the feature is enabled.
Health and product information
Sensory notes are not medical or safety advice. Health, therapeutic, safety, authenticity, ingredient-origin or composition claims are not published as fact unless they have been separately reviewed and adequately supported.
